2022 - 2023 COVID Policy
Updated 7/26/2022: Please know that we modify our policy based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies.
Summary
- Effective 3/1/22, masks are optional for dancers.
- If your dancer is exhibiting any symptoms, they should not come to class.
- BCSC’s quarantine policies will continue to apply.
- Students will complete a temperature check and sanitize hands upon entering the building.
- We will continue all enhanced cleaning and disinfecting routines.
Arrival Procedure
- Students and staff will have an automatic temperature screening upon arrival. Temperatures under 100.5 may enter the studio, but anyone with a temperature at or over 100.5 will not be allowed in the studio.
- Students and staff will sanitize their hands upon entry and between classes.
- Students will change into dance shoes prior to entering the dance room. Street shoes are not allowed into the dance room, and dance shoes are not allowed on the street!
Enhanced Cleaning
Every night, teachers and staff will spray down the high traffic areas (storage cubbies, ballet barres, tumble mats, etc.) with a CDC Approved Disinfectant.
Quarantine & Health Monitoring
If a student, staff member, or anyone in their household test positive for COVID-19, contact the studio owners immediately so that contact tracing can begin. In alignment with BCSC, students & staff are not permitted to attend class until the 5 day quarantine period is over.

COVID-19 Warning
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for our students and staff. All posted instructions must be followed while on premises at Dance by Design. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, anyone with underlying medical conditions is especially vulnerable. By entering Dance by Design, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
